Shelley has a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and is currently licensed in Arizona as an associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT-10890). She has extensive experience working with families, couples, and individuals. Her passion is helping all clients create healthier and more fulfilling relationships.  She especially loves to work with couples and has been able to help couples navigate some of the most difficult of circumstances.

She has experience working with families and individuals including several years of helping children and adolescents in a variety of capacities. In addition, she has helped clients of all ages manage crises and severe mental health disorders.

She recently worked as an outpatient therapist at a children's mental health agency in Tucson. Prior to her move to AZ, she worked in southwestern Pennsylvania for a community mental health agency as an outpatient therapist for both mental health and substance abuse disorders. Shelley was previously an outpatient therapist for two local school districts and was instrumental in facilitating school-based mental health services for one of the districts. She has also provided home-based therapy for children and families with more specialized needs.

Shelley has a diverse set of interests and passions. She is currently engaging in the process of expanding her knowledge about gender identity issues, especially among youth, and how to compassionately address these issues in therapy. She also has experience in the areas of obesity and bariatric surgery, with a focus on preoperative and postoperative support. She has vast experience working with infidelity issues, sexual issues within relationships and the integration of Christian faith with psychotherapy.

Shelley has a seminary diploma and can provide a faith-based (Christian) perspective for those who request it. Shelley has also completed extensive coursework and clinical hours in the Marriage and Family Counseling/Therapy doctoral program at The University of Akron. She also taught several graduate courses in counseling at Cleveland State University.
